1 INTRODUCTION
This Player Agreement for OLG.ca outlines the rules and guidelines for utilizing OLG's online gaming platform. By checking the \"accept\" box, you confirm your understanding and agreement to these terms. If you disagree, you are not permitted to create an account or log in to an existing account for gaming or product purchases on OLG.ca.
OLG maintains the right to modify this Agreement periodically at its discretion. Notifications will be posted on OLG.ca to inform Players of any updates to the Agreement, and all users will need to clearly acknowledge and accept the new terms upon logging in or registering.
It is the responsibility of each new, prospective, or existing Player to stay informed about the terms and conditions of this Agreement, ensuring they comprehend and accept them before signing up or accessing their Player Account.
Should a new, prospective, or current Player breach or fail to adhere to any of the terms of this Agreement, OLG reserves the right to pursue any available remedies under this Agreement or applicable law, which may include revoking a player’s ability to register or maintain their account, suspending or deactivating said account, or retaining any remaining funds in the associated account.
2 DEFINITIONS
PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT DOCUMENT CAREFULLY AS IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. THIS AGREEMENT HAS LIABILITY LIMITATIONS, INCLUDING REDUCING OLG'S RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS YOU IN CASE OF NEGLIGENCE.
The following terms are defined as follows, and variations of these terms will have similar meanings:
" AGCO \" refers to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and its successors.
" AGCO Standards \" denotes the Registrar's Standards for Gaming across different sectors, including Lotteries, as developed and adjusted by the AGCO over time.
" AGCO iGaming Standards \" pertains to the standards specific for Internet Gaming under the Registrar’s purview.
" Agreement \" indicates this Player Agreement for OLG.ca, including any updates or modifications made by OLG.
" Bonus Funds \" encompass a virtual amount in Canadian dollars credited to a Player Account by OLG, which can be used under specific terms to engage in Pay-to-Play Games or Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online without any cost to the Player.
" Bonus Funds Terms \" refers to the guidelines defined in Section 8.1, which are an integral part of this Agreement.
" Business Day \" refers to any weekday excluding Saturdays, Sundays, recognized holidays in Ontario, or days when financial institutions are closed in Toronto.
" Chargeback \" has the definition outlined in Section 6.4.
" Closed Account \" describes a Player Account as detailed in Section 11.1.
" Close \" or \" Closure \" signifies the process of a Player closing their account as specified in Section 11.1.
" Deactivate \" or \" Deactivation \" means the account is marked as inactive as per the description in Section 12.2.
“Device \" Deactivated Account \" is defined in Section 12.2.
Biometric Authentication signifies a feature that allows Players to utilize their device's biometric features to automatically fill in login details for account access.
"Device Biometric Data\" refers to unique biological information used in Biometric Authentication.
"Digital Payment Wallet\" relates to applications on devices such as smartphones or tablets that securely hold payment data for online or contactless transactions, encompassing various payment methods like credit, debit, or loyalty cards.
"Direct Pay\" refers to the online payment method used to buy Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online directly without funding the Player Account, unlike using Bonus Funds.
"Direct Pay Subscription Terms\" signifies the conditions involving subscriptions for tickets in Draw-Based Lottery Games through Direct Pay outlined in Section 5.
" Dormant Account \" refers to an account defined in Section 10.2, not inclusive of accounts enrolled in My PlayBreak.
" Downtime \" has the definition provided in Section 15.2.
" Draw-Based Lottery Game Played Online \" refers to any game available via OLG.ca that meets the legal definition of a lottery, requiring players to choose numbers or elements and determined by a draw outcome, excluding Pay-to-Play and Play-for-Free games.
" Error \" is defined under Section 15.1.
" Error Funds \" is addressed in Section 15.1.
" Event \" is defined as indicated in the applicable Pay-To-Play Game Rules.
- " Excluded Individual \" identifies those barred from creating or maintaining an account with OLG.ca, including individuals who do not meet eligibility criteria, have legal restrictions, are self-excluded, are employees of OLG or associated vendors, and others as described.
- " FINTRAC \" refers to the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada and its successors.
- " Future Game Transaction \" is as specified in Section 5.3.
- " Funded \" is defined in Section 5.3.
- " Games \" encompasses all types of Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online, Pay-to-Play Games, and Play-for-Free Games.

The OLG.ca Player Agreement – Terms of Use outlines the regulations governing the OLG's online gaming platform. Each prospective, intending, and current player must familiarize themselves with the entire content of this Agreement and ensure they understand and agree to the terms before registering an account or logging into their player account.
If a prospective, intending, or current player fails to adhere to the Agreement's terms, OLG reserves the right to implement any necessary remedies available to them by law or equity. This may include, but is not limited to: (i) revoking a player's account registration eligibility, (ii) locking, suspending, or deactivating an account, and (iii) retaining any unused funds linked to that account.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOCUMENT IS SIGNIFICANT AND INCLUDES LIMITATIONS ON YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, SO READ IT CAREFULLY. THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, INCLUDING OLG’S LIMITATION OF LIABILITY DUE TO NEGLIGENCE.
The below-defined terms have the meanings as specified, and variations of these terms carry the same implications:
“ AGCO ” refers to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and its successors.
“ AGCO Standards ” are the Registrar’s Standards for Gaming and Lottery Sector as crafted and issued by the AGCO Registrar, subject to periodic updates.
“ AGCO iGaming Standards ” denote the Registrar's Standards specifically for Internet Gaming.
“ Agreement ” identifies this Player Agreement – Terms of Use for OLG.ca, which can be updated or replaced over time.
“ Bonus Funds ” refers to a hypothetical amount equivalent to Canadian dollars credited to a player's account by OLG. When applicable, Bonus Funds allow players to participate in Pay-to-Play Games or Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online without any cost to them.
“ Bonus Funds Terms ” are detailed in Section 8.1, and are considered integrated components of this Agreement.
“ Business Day ” indicates any day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, public holiday in Ontario, or a day when banks are closed in Toronto, Ontario.
“ Chargeback ” will be defined in Section 6.4.
“ Closed Account ” refers to an account described in Section 11.1.
“ Close ” or “ Closure ” signifies the action of a player terminating their account as detailed in Section 11.1.
“ Deactivate ” or “ Deactivation ” means that a player account is changed to a Deactivated Account as specified in Section 12.2.
“ Deactivated Account ” has its definition as outlined in Section 12.2.
“ Biometric Authentication ” describes a feature that allows players to utilize their mobile device's biometric capabilities to automatically fill in login credentials for accessing their account.
“ Device Biometric Data ” pertains to information regarding an individual's unique biological traits that are utilized in Device Biometric Authentication.
“ Digital Payment Wallet ” means an application on your computer or mobile device that stores payment details for easy online or contactless transactions. You can keep information such as credit, debit, prepaid, or loyalty cards within a digital wallet.
“ Direct Pay ” refers to the online payment system that allows for purchasing Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online (as long as the system is operational), processed directly through the player's payment method without needing to fund the player account, instead of using unutilized funds or Bonus Funds.
- “ Direct Pay Subscription Terms ” details the conditions for subscribing to tickets for a Draw-Based Lottery Game Played Online through Direct Pay, in accordance with Section 5.
- “ Dormant Account ” describes a player account referenced in Section 10.2, excluding accounts registered under My PlayBreak.
- “ Downtime ” will be defined in Section 15.2.
- “ Draw-Based Lottery Game Played Online ” encompasses any game offered on OLG.ca that constitutes a “lottery scheme” defined under the Criminal Code (Canada), which requires players to choose a set of numbers or elements with outcomes determined by a draw, excluding Pay-to-Play and Play-for-Free games.
- the Direct Pay Subscription Terms;
- the applicable Bonus Funds Terms; and
- “ Error ” has its definition in Section 15.1.
“ Error Funds ” will be defined in Section 15.1.
4 REGISTRATION OF A PLAYER ACCOUNT
“ Event ” has the meaning specified in the relevant Pay-To-Play Game Rules.
“ Excluded Individual ” identifies individuals who are not authorized to create an account with OLG.ca or maintain an active player account, including:
- An individual who fails to meet the eligibility requirements established in Section 4.1 of this Agreement.
- An individual who has been legally barred from OLG.ca by court ruling or any existing law or regulation, including the AGCO Standards.
- An individual who is restricted from accessing gaming sites due to Standard 3.01 or Standard 3.01.1 of the AGCO iGaming Standards, or any other applicable AGCO provisions.
- An individual who has requested self-exclusion from a casino as defined in the AGCO Gaming Standards through My PlayBreak during their exclusion period.
- An individual who is registered for My PlayBreak.
- An employee of OLG or someone contracted in a way that prohibits them from registering with OLG.ca.
- An employee of an “iGaming vendor” or “an iGaming entity” as defined in the OLG Rules on iGaming Lottery Games, subject to future amendments.

4.5 PLAYER ACCOUNTS
This website is intended for adult users in Ontario, Canada. Lottery and charitable gaming services are available only to individuals aged 18 and older, whereas casinos and slot machine venues are limited to those who are at least 19.
- This OLG.ca Player Agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing the use of the OLG.ca online gaming platform. By checking the 'accept' option, a prospective or current player confirms their understanding and acceptance of these terms. If they disagree with any part of this Agreement, they cannot create an account or access their existing Player Account.
- OLG retains the right to modify this Agreement as deemed necessary. Players will be notified of any updates on OLG.ca, and new players or current players logging in must agree to the revised terms. AGCO iGaming Standards denote the Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming;
Agreement signifies this Player Agreement, which consists of the Terms and Conditions of Use for OLG.ca and may be updated or superseded by OLG periodically;
Bonus Funds refer to a conceptual amount in Canadian dollars credited to a Player Account by OLG. These funds, as per Bonus Funds Terms, can be utilized by players for participation in Pay-to-Play or Draw-Based Lottery Games online without any cost to the player;
- Bonus Funds Terms are defined in Section 8.1 and are integral parts of this Agreement under Section 3.
- Business Day identifies any day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, or a statutory holiday in Ontario, nor a day when financial institutions are closed in Toronto, Ontario.
- Chargeback has the definition laid out in Section 6.4.
Closed Account refers to a Player Account described in Section 11.1.
Close or Closure pertains to the action taken by a player when they choose to close their Player Account as outlined in Section 11.1.
Deactivate or Deactivation means that a Player Account has transitioned to a Deactivated Account, as described in Section 12.2.
Deactivated Account is defined in Section 12.2.
5.2 SUBSCRIPTION OPTIONS:
- Biometric Authentication refers to a feature allowing players to use their mobile device's biometric capabilities to automatically enter their login details for accessing their Player Account.
- Device Biometric Data entails data concerning distinct biological features of a person, which is utilized in Biometric Authentication.
5.3 FUTURE GAME TRANSACTIONS
Digital Payment Wallet signifies an application on your mobile or desktop device that stores your payment details to facilitate online or contactless transactions including credit, debit, or loyalty cards.
Direct Pay refers to the online payment method used to buy Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online (based on system availability) directly through the player's Payment Method without using Unutilized or Bonus Funds.
- Direct Pay Subscription Terms represent the regulations guiding subscriptions for tickets to Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online via Direct Pay under Section 5.
- Dormant Account designates a Player Account as described in Section 10.2, excluding accounts registered for My PlayBreak.
Downtime has the meaning outlined in Section 15.2.
- Draw-Based Lottery Game Played Online refers to any lottery game available on OLG.ca that entails a 'lottery scheme' compliant with the Criminal Code (Canada), requiring players to choose a set of numbers that determines the game’s outcome via a draw—excluding any Pay-to-Play or Free-to-Play Games.
- Error has the identification provided in Section 15.1.

- Event has the definition specified in the applicable Pay-To-Play Game Rules.
- Excluded Individual refers to an individual prohibited from creating or maintaining a Player Account on OLG.ca, which may include:
a person who does not meet all eligibility requirements described in Section 4.1 of this Agreement;
a person excluded by legal ruling or regulatory standard, including AGCO Standards;
an individual blocked from accessing gaming sites per AGCO iGaming Standards;
someone who has opted for self-exclusion from a Casino under My PlayBreak for its full duration (refer to Responsible Gambling and My PlayBreak Policy for further details);
an individual who is registered for My PlayBreak;
an employee of OLG or an affiliated individual restricted from creating an account with OLG.ca;
an employee of an 'iGaming vendor' or 'iGaming entity' as defined in the OLG Rules concerning iGaming Lottery Games, subject to any potential updates or replacements.
FINTRAC denotes the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada and its successors;
Future Game Transaction has the definition described in Section 5.3.
Funded is defined in Section 5.3.
Games collectively encompass Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online, Pay-to-Play Games, and Play-for-Free Games.
The term iGaming System refers to the platform utilized by OLG for various functions including the registration and management of Player Accounts, enabling Players to engage in Games, and processing the distribution of prizes.
The phrase Intending Player designates a person referenced in Section 4.1.
Lite Lottery Account identifies a specific type of Player Account through which an individual can participate solely in Draw-Based Lottery Games using funds from Direct Pay, Bonus Funds, or a combination of both.
Live Stream or Live Streaming describes the real-time or near real-time transmission of audio-visual content from specific sporting events, competitions, or tournaments, which Players can view if they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in Section 4.5.
Login Credentials are a unique set of identifiers generated by the Player that allow them to authenticate their identity within the iGaming System whenever they wish to access their Player Account. This typically includes a username (which may be the email linked to the Player Account) and a password.
Lottery Game Rules encompass all stipulations, terms, and instructions provided by OLG or the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation over time (in addition to this Agreement), applicable to a Draw-Based Lottery Game Played Online, as designated by OLG. These rules are integrated into and considered part of this Agreement subject to Section 3.
Mobile Applications refer to any apps created by or for OLG that prospective Players and existing Players can download onto their mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets, allowing access to select Games available to qualified Players periodically.
Multi-Factor Authentication is defined as provided in Section 4.4.
My PlayBreak is defined according to the Responsible Gambling and My PlayBreak Policy.
OLG stands for Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation along with its successors.
- OLG.ca refers to the online platforms of OLG, which periodically allow eligible Players to access select Games.
- OLG Internet Gaming Privacy and Cookie Policy is the policy regarding privacy and cookies on OLG.ca, subject to amendments or replacements by OLG over time. This policy is also part of the Agreement as outlined in Section 3.
- OLG IP Rights is described in Section 14.3.
- Payment Method includes the various payment options accepted by OLG for funding Player Accounts or for transactions through Direct Pay. These methods are listed on the Deposit and Direct Pay pages and may be updated by OLG at its discretion, which might include options like credit cards, debit cards, electronic transfers, and the use of Digital Payment Wallets.
- Pay-to-Play Game refers to any game or offering available on OLG.ca that meets the definition of a \"lottery scheme\" per the Criminal Code (Canada), requires a Player to place a bet to enter, and provides a chance to win a Prize. This excludes any Draw-Based Lottery Game Played Online or Play-for-Free Game. Examples include online sports betting and casino-type games like roulette and slot machines.
- Pay-to-Play Game Rules include the terms and conditions, explanations, rules, and procedures prescribed by OLG for a specific Pay-to-Play Game, covering aspects such as how a Prize can be won, odds of winning, and Prize tiers. These rules are included in this Agreement under Section 3 as stipulated.
Player describes an individual (excluding those classified as an Excluded Individual) who has completed the registration process for a Player Account that remains active and is not Suspended, Deactivated, or Closed.
6.4 CHARGEBACKS
Player Account represents an account maintained in the iGaming System that includes a Player's information, history of transactions, and details of game play, enabling the Player to engage in eligible Games. Players can periodically access their accounts via OLG.ca. There are two types of Player Accounts: Standard Player Account and Lite Lottery Account.
Player Contact Information refers to the specific contact details linked to a Player Account and stored within the iGaming System at any given time, such as the Player's name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.
- Player-Initiated Transaction is defined in Section 10.1.
- Play-for-Free Game includes any of the no-cost games available on OLG.ca that showcase features of a \"lottery scheme\" as per the Criminal Code (Canada) but do not offer Prizes or necessitate payment for participation.
- Player Support pertains to the customer service offerings available through OLG.ca, accessible as detailed in Section 18.1.
- Prize denotes an award received by a Player from a Game in alignment with the relevant Lottery Game Rules or Pay-to-Play Game Rules.
- Prospective Player refers to anyone who visits OLG.ca without being an active Player.
7 WITHDRAWALS FROM A PLAYER ACCOUNT
Responsible Gambling and My PlayBreak Policy outlines the policy initiated by OLG regarding responsible gambling on OLG.ca, updated as needed. This policy becomes part of this Agreement as specified in Section 3.
Sports Betting Games Played Online are games classified as Pay-to-Play available through OLG's online sports betting service.
Standard Player Account signifies an account featuring a virtual wallet with funds equivalent to Canadian dollars, which can be used to access eligible Pay-to-Play and Draw-Based Lottery Games, encompassing transaction history for deposits and withdrawals. This account can also access Free-to-Play Games.
- Suspended Account is defined in Section 12.1.
- Suspend or Suspension refers to the status of a Player Account that has been categorized as Suspended, as elaborated in Section 12.1.
- Time-based One-time Password is described in Section 4.4.
Unutilized Funds signify any credited, virtual money associated with Canadian dollars in a Player Account, encompassing Prizes but excluding Bonus Funds, that remain unused by the Player.
3 ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS FORMING PART OF THIS AGREEMENT
This Agreement includes by reference various terms, conditions, rules, policies, and explanations found in other documents, including:
the relevant Lottery Game Rules and Pay-to-Play Game Rules;
any applicable agreement for website users;
any applicable agreement for mobile application users;
7.3 WITHDRAWAL CANCELLATIONS
the Responsible Gambling and My PlayBreak Policy;
OLG Internet Gaming Privacy and Cookie Policy.
7.4 WITHDRAWAL PROCESSING TIMES
In situations where discrepancies arise between any aspect of this Agreement and any referenced terms, policies, or conditions, the order of precedence will follow the descending outline of clauses i. to vii. above, noting that this Agreement will take lower priority than the applicable Lottery Game Rules and Pay-to-Play Game Rules identified in clause i., while ranking above the terms mentioned in clauses ii. to vi.
4.1 ELIGIBILITY FOR PLAYER ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
Only Players are permitted to engage in Draw Based Lottery Games Played Online and Pay-to-Play Games via OLG.ca. An individual wishing to become a Player (an Intending Player ) needs to meet certain criteria determined solely by OLG, including:
- The Intending Player must not already hold a Player Account. Only one Player Account is permitted per individual. Attempting to register or registering multiple Player Accounts against Section 11.1, 12.1, or 12.2 will be seen as a serious breach of this Agreement.
- The Intending Player must be at least 18 years old. To participate in Pay-to-Play or Play-for-Free Games, individuals must be 19 or older, while Players aged 18 and over are allowed to play Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online.
The Intending Player must be a resident of Ontario.
8 BONUS FUNDS TERMS
8.1 BONUS FUNDS
The Intending Player must be physically present in Ontario whenever they play any of the Games (including when attempting to register for Future Game Transactions).
The Intending Player must not fall into the category of an Excluded Individual.
The Intending Player must act solely on their own behalf and not represent anyone else, whether as an agent or otherwise.
8.2 USING BONUS FUNDS
The Intending Player is required to provide accurate and truthful information during the registration process.
Regarding Sports Betting Games Played Online, the Intending Player must adhere to the stipulations in paragraphs 7(a), (b), (c), and (d) of Section 14.5 every time they engage in any of the Games.
A prospective player who does not meet all the previously mentioned criteria will not be permitted to create an account with OLG.ca or to become a registered player. OLG retains the right to request further details or documentation from an intending player or an existing player before finalizing the account registration process or even afterwards. This could be necessary for verifying the identity of the player or any other contact information and to investigate any potential violations of this agreement, including any suspected fraudulent or unethical behavior. If an intending player cannot meet any of these requirements, it will be considered a significant breach of this agreement.
An intending player wishing to regain access to their account—whether it has been closed, suspended, or deactivated—must follow the specific procedures outlined in Sections 11.1, 12.1, and 12.2, respectively. Approval from OLG is required and is at OLG's absolute discretion.
9 ADVERTISING
9.1 PUBLISHING WINNER INFORMATION
When a standard player account is registered or when transitioning from a Lite lottery account to a standard player account, OLG will share the registration information of the intending player or player, as necessary. This includes any additional information or documentation provided for authentication purposes with third-party service providers to ensure that the intending player or player meets the previously mentioned criteria for registration or transition. Additionally, OLG may disclose player information to third parties as needed for various purposes, such as confirming the player's ongoing eligibility, investigating any potential breaches of this agreement—including fraud or dishonesty—and exercising OLG's rights as stipulated in this agreement or similar documents referenced in Section 3.
10 DORMANT ACCOUNTS
By submitting any information or documentation to OLG, the intending player (or player, as applicable) agrees to the gathering, utilization, storage, and sharing of such information by OLG for any and all reasons outlined in this agreement or any other associated documents mentioned in Section 3. For further details regarding the handling of personal information by OLG, please refer to the OLG Internet Gaming Privacy and Cookie Policy.
Any information provided by an intending player while registering an account with OLG.ca must be completely accurate, truthful, and up-to-date at the time of submission. It is imperative that this information remains accurate and complete after the player's account is established. If there are any changes to this registration information after the account is created, it is the player's responsibility to ensure compliance with this agreement, and if necessary, to update their information via the 'My Account' or 'Account Information' sections.
10.2 effects of a dormant account
OLG may occasionally share a player's registration information with third-party service providers to verify that the player's registration details are correct and up-to-date. Furthermore, OLG may at any time, at its discretion, request additional details and documentation from a player and may share this information with third parties for verification purposes.
You agree that OLG and its third-party service providers are permitted to collect, use, store, and disclose personal information as outlined in the OLG Privacy and Cookie Policy. You also consent to the possibility that this information may be utilized, retained, and disclosed outside of Ontario and Canada. This consent allows for a range of services such as (i) identity verification; (ii) payment processing; (iii) location verification; (iv) analytics; (v) customer relationship management and player support; (vi) email communication; and (vii) technical support.
If a player fails to promptly update their player account information, it will be regarded as a significant violation of this agreement. Should OLG find that any registration details linked to a player's account held in the iGaming System are incorrect, outdated, or incomplete after the account has been established—perhaps because a player's situation changed without the player updating their information—OLG may take necessary actions regarding the player or their account as they see fit. This could involve suspending or deactivating the account, investigating potential security issues, or in cases of suspected or confirmed identity theft or fraud, reporting relevant information to law enforcement or other parties deemed appropriate.
OLG may request that a player provides further details or documentation should OLG, at its discretion, find it necessary to comply with laws or regulations, or if OLG deems it essential to prevent fraudulent or illegal actions (either suspected or confirmed) or to address concerns regarding compliance with this agreement. This includes the need to confirm the player's identity or their right to receive or withdraw unused funds. Moreover, players will be required to furnish any information and documentation that OLG considers necessary to meet its reporting obligations to FINTRAC. By providing this additional information or documentation, players acknowledge that the information is accurate or that the documentation is a true and complete copy of the original.
During the registration of a player account, an intending player must establish login credentials. Once the account is registered, the player is fully responsible for the protection and confidentiality of their login credentials, including any related security questions and answers. Players are prohibited from sharing their login credentials with anyone else—this includes other players, potential players, family members, or individuals underage—and only the player is authorized to utilize the login credentials to access their account. Furthermore, players are not allowed to use their login credentials or device biometric authentication to grant anyone else access to their account for any reason. All transactions conducted through a player account after entering valid login credentials (including any actions taken while device biometric authentication is active) will be considered as having been completed by the player, and the player is held accountable for these transactions.
11 PLAYER’S CLOSURE OF ACCOUNTS
If a player accidentally or deliberately shares their login credentials with anyone, or if there's a suspicion that someone else has gained access to their login credentials (regardless of whether that person has used them), the player must promptly change their password on OLG.ca and inform Player Support about the potential compromise of their initial login credentials.
Players can update the password tied to their login credentials whenever they choose by visiting the 'My Account' or 'Account Information' page.
Players have the option to activate device biometric authentication for accessing their player account through their account settings.
Players are responsible for safeguarding any devices used to access OLG.ca, manage device biometric data, or enable biometric authentication. Players understand that enabling this authentication means that any biometric data stored on the device can grant access to their player account. Each instance of using this authentication method will be considered as players affirming that their own biometric data is being utilized and not that of any other individual. OLG does not access or retain biometric data.
OLG is not liable for any direct or indirect damages that may arise from the player's use of, inability to utilize, or activation of device biometric authentication. OLG reserves the right to discontinue biometric authentication at any time without prior notice.
Players have the choice to activate Multi-Factor Authentication, adding an extra layer of verification to gain access to their Player Account in conjunction with their regular Login Credentials. “Multi-Factor Authentication” is a method of verification requiring the Player to enter a Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) from a specified third-party app, in addition to their Login Credentials, to validate their identity during the sign-in process. A “Time-based One-time Password” is a temporary code generated by a third-party application designed for single use, valid only for a limited duration before it expires, necessitating the entry of a new TOTP for future logins.
12.1 SUSPENSION OF A PLAYER ACCOUNT
Players are encouraged to install any third-party authenticator app on their mobile devices or desktops from platforms like Google Play or the Apple App Store. This may include popular options like Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, or Microsoft Authenticator. When a Player decides to download and use one of these applications, they acknowledge that there could be additional terms and conditions associated with its use. It is the Player's responsibility to review these terms before proceeding. OLG will not be held liable for any damages, whether direct or indirect, that arise from downloading or utilizing the chosen third-party application as outlined in Sections 14.1 and 14.2 of this Agreement.
While a Player Account is Suspended:
- Players can view their Player Account details by visiting the OLG.ca website and navigating to either the \"My Account\" or \"Account Information\" sections. This feature allows them to review various details such as:
- the Player's registration details, including their contact information;
- the credentials used for their login, including associated security questions and answers;
- the current notional balance available in the Standard Player Account;
the complete history of financial transactions tied to the Player Account; and
12.2 DEACTIVATION OF PLAYER ACCOUNTS
the comprehensive game-play history linked to the Player Account.
Should a Player identify any discrepancies or errors within their Player Account information or even suspect there might be inaccuracies, it is imperative for the Player to promptly reach out to Player Support, no matter who may be liable for the mistake.
The OLG.ca platform is designed for personal entertainment purposes, strictly discouraging any commercial use. Players are permitted to use their Player Account solely for personal enjoyment. They must refrain from any business, commercial, or public use of OLG.ca or its components, including their Player Account and any provided content. Additionally, Players must not share or display inappropriate content, whether through chat functions or other means, as deemed by OLG, including unsuitable usernames or nicknames, nor engage in threatening or harassing behavior towards other Players.
OLG reserves the right to take necessary actions regarding a Player or their Player Account if they display any form of hate speech, discrimination, sexism, violence, offensive remarks, or any other inappropriate conduct. This may include requesting a change of username, removing non-compliant content, or even suspending or deactivating the Player Account at OLG's discretion.
It is important to note that a Player Account is not considered personal property and cannot be assigned, transferred, or shared with anyone else for any reasons.
- For access to Live Streaming (subject to system capabilities) through their Player Account, Players must, at their initial access point and throughout its duration: (a) be physically present in Ontario; and (b) meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Their Total Balance in the Player Account should be above zero (this includes having a positive balance in either Cash or Bonus Funds);
- The Player must have placed a wager through an Online Sports Betting Game within the twenty-four (24) hours prior to their first Live Streaming access; or

The Live Streaming pertains to a specific match, game, competition, or event on which the Player placed a wager through an Online Sports Betting Game within 336 hours (around 14 days) prior to their first Live Streaming participation.
To clarify, Players will lose access to Live Streaming if they fail to meet these eligibility criteria.
5 SUBSCRIPTION PLAY FOR FUTURE DRAWS
5.1 OPTIONS FOR SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENTS
14.2 THIRD-PARTY CONTENT; JOINT GAMES
Players have the opportunity to subscribe to certain Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online, provided they maintain Unutilized Funds or Bonus Funds available in their Player Account, or utilize Direct Pay (availability subject to system conditions) as per the Direct Pay Subscription Terms, while also adhering to the provisions outlined in this Section 5 and the OLG Rules Respecting iGaming Lottery Games.
OLG offers two distinct subscription options: the “consecutive draw” option, which allows Players to automatically purchase a ticket for a specified number of consecutive draws in a Draw-Based Lottery Game Played Online, according to the OLG Rules Respecting iGaming Lottery Games. The number of available consecutive draws ranges from a minimum of two to a maximum specified on OLG.ca; and
the “never miss a draw” option, which enables Players to automatically buy a ticket for an unlimited number of draws in a Draw-Based Lottery Game Played Online, again according to the OLG Rules Respecting iGaming Lottery Games.
A ticket purchase executed by a Player via subscription as detailed in this section is referred to as a Future Game Transaction .
A Player who engages in or attempts to execute Future Game Transactions holds full responsibility to:
ensure that their Player Account has adequate Unutilized Funds (or Bonus Funds, if applicable) or that their designated Direct Pay card is active and authorized by the respective financial institution to process these transactions (“ Funded ”), as is needed for such Future Game Transactions; and
14.4 VIRUSES, HACKING AND OTHER OFFENCES
confirm that the Player completes Future Game Transactions in a timely manner, as determined by OLG, to allow for appropriate processing and recording.
Furthermore, in addition to complying with all other applicable terms and conditions of this Agreement that are in force at the time, Players must:
- verify that they possess a valid ticket for the relevant draw, as confirmed by the purchase receipt in their Player Account; and
- ensure that the details shown in their Player Account are accurate, complete, and reflect all confirmations of purchases;
- OLG holds no obligations or responsibilities for alerting a Player:
- if they lack a “valid ticket” for any specific draw or draws as defined in the OLG Rules Respecting iGaming Lottery Games; or
- if they may have insufficient Unutilized Funds (or Bonus Funds, if applicable) or if their approved Direct Pay card lacks sufficient funding to participate in a specific game before rejecting the transaction in question.
- However, this does not limit OLG's right to inform Players concerning their account status.
- 6 PLAYER ACCOUNT DEPOSITS AND DIRECT PAY
6.1 ACCOUNT FUNDING AND DIRECT PAY
To engage with games (excluding Play-for-Free options) on OLG.ca, Players must maintain a positive balance of funds in their Standard Player Account. However, Players are permitted to purchase tickets for Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online through Direct Pay on OLG.ca (subject to system availability). The Direct Pay feature is specifically available to those holding a Player Account. OLG will not extend credit facilities to Players.
If, at the moment a bet, wager, or purchase is being made for a game, a Player Account does not have sufficient funds, or if the Direct Pay card is unsupplied with funds, the bet, wager, or purchase cannot be completed, resulting in the Player being denied entry into the game. The Player bears the full responsibility of ensuring that their account has sufficient funds or that their permitted Direct Pay card is supplied with funds, as appropriate, for all games (including Future Game Transactions). OLG is not obliged to notify Players about any potential insufficiencies in funds or whether their Direct Pay card is funded before rejecting a transaction (though this does not restrict OLG's capacity to make such notifications).
Moreover, with certain exceptions, any monetary Prizes from games played via OLG.ca, including Draw-Based Lottery Games funded through Direct Pay for a Standard Player Account, will be credited to the Player's account as an increase in the account's notional balance. Withdrawal procedures for these Prize funds will adhere to the terms and conditions stipulated in this Agreement. OLG will periodically provide instructions for claiming any non-monetary Prizes.
- Players have the opportunity to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for an added layer of security when logging into their Player Accounts. This method, referred to as “Multi-Factor Authentication” , requires Players to enter a Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) generated by a third-party app, in addition to their standard Login Credentials. This extra step is designed to verify the Player's identity during the sign-in process. A “Time-based One-time Password” is a unique code created by the third-party application that is valid for a limited time and can only be used once. Once the time expires, the Player must generate a new code to log in.
- Players are free to download any third-party authentication app onto their mobile devices or computers from platforms like Google Play or Apple’s App Store. Popular options include, but are not limited to, Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, and Microsoft Authenticator. By proceeding with the download or use of any third-party app, Players acknowledge that there may be specific terms and conditions associated with that app, and it is their obligation to evaluate whether to agree to such terms. OLG shall not be held responsible for any direct or indirect damages that arise from the Player's choice of third-party application, as detailed in Sections 14.1 and 14.2 of this Agreement.
- Players can view their Player Account details by visiting the OLG.ca website and navigating to the 'My Account' or 'Account Information' section. In this area, they can access a range of information, such as:
- the Player's registration details, which include their Contact Information;
- the Player's Login Credentials, along with any associated security questions and their answers;
- the current virtual balance of the Standard Player Account;
- the complete history of financial transactions linked to the Player Account; and
the gameplay history associated with the Player Account.
In the event a Player finds any discrepancies or errors in their Player Account information, or if they suspect the existence of such inaccuracies, they are obliged to promptly reach out to Player Support, regardless of the source of the error.
The OLG.ca platform is designed solely for personal entertainment and Players are only permitted to utilize their Player Accounts for personal gaming activities. Usage of OLG.ca or any of its components—including Player Accounts or any content within the website—for business, commercial, or public activities is strictly prohibited. Additionally, Players must refrain from sharing or displaying content considered inappropriate, including names, through chat or other means, or from engaging in harassment or bullying of other Players.
OLG maintains the right to take appropriate actions regarding any Player or Player Account in response to hate speech, discrimination, violence, or any offensive content. This includes the authority to demand username changes, remove non-compliant content, and/or suspend or deactivate Player Accounts based on OLG’s discretion.
It's important to note that a Player Account is not owned by the Player and cannot be transferred, assigned, or shared with any other individual for any reason.
To access Live Streaming (dependent on system availability) through their Player Account, Players must initially meet two conditions: (a) remain physically present in Ontario; and (b) satisfy at least one of the following criteria:
Their total Player Account balance must exceed zero (meaning at least one of their Cash Balance or Bonus Funds must be greater than zero);
The Player has placed a wager on an Online Sports Betting game within the twenty-four (24) hours preceding their first access to Live Streaming; or
15.1 OLG\"S ERRORS
The Live Streaming pertains to a match, game, competition, or event on which the Player has previously wagered within 336 hours (around 14 days) before accessing the Live Streaming.
- It's essential to understand that if a Player fails to meet these eligibility criteria, they will lose access to Live Streaming services.
- 5 SUBSCRIPTION TO FUTURE DRAWS FOR PLAYING
- 5.1 SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENT OPTIONS
- Players have the ability to participate in specific Draw-Based Lottery Games played online via subscription, given that they maintain Unutilized Funds (or, subject to the applicable Bonus Fund Terms, Bonus Funds) in their Player Account, or they may opt for Direct Pay (availability may vary) in compliance with the Direct Pay Subscription Terms, while also adhering to the stipulations outlined in Section 5 and the OLG Rules Respecting iGaming Lottery Games.
- OLG provides two distinct subscription options: the “consecutive draw” option which allows Players to automatically secure a ticket for a specified number of consecutive draws in a Draw-Based Lottery Game as per the OLG Rules Respecting iGaming Lottery Games. The range of consecutive draws available varies between a minimum of two up to a maximum specified by the Player on OLG.ca; and
the “never miss a draw” option, allowing players to automatically purchase tickets for an unlimited number of draws in a Draw-Based Lottery Game according to the OLG Rules Respecting iGaming Lottery Games.
Any ticket purchase transaction initiated by Players for a subscription as described in Section 5.3 will be referred to as a Future Game Transaction .
Players who engage or attempt to engage in Future Game Transactions are entirely responsible for ensuring that:
their Player Account possesses adequate Unutilized Funds (or Bonus Funds, if applicable), or that their authorized Direct Pay payment card is valid, operational, and permitted by the issuing financial institution to process transactions (“ Funded ”) for such Future Game Transactions; and
they have completed their Future Game Transactions in a timely manner (as deemed by OLG) to allow for proper processing and recording of such transactions.
Moreover, aside from fulfilling all other terms and conditions set in this Agreement at that time, these Players must:
verify that they possess a valid ticket for the relevant draw as confirmed by the purchase confirmation shown in their Player Account; and
ensure the existence, integrity, and correctness of the information displayed in their Player Account (including all purchase confirmations);
15.2 UNAVAILABILITY OF OLG.CA
OLG has no obligation to inform Players whether:
- they possess a 'valid ticket' (as defined in the OLG Rules Respecting iGaming Lottery Games) for any particular draw or draws; or
- withdraw Unutilized Funds;
- if they may have insufficient Unutilized Funds (or Bonus Funds, if applicable), or if their approved Direct Pay payment card is not funded, which might prevent them from playing a specific Game before rejecting the transaction.
- However, this provision does not limit OLG's right to notify a Player when necessary.
6 PLAYER ACCOUNT DEPOSITS AND DIRECT PAY
16 BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT BY A PLAYER
16.1 NOT A MATERIAL BREACH
6.1 ACCOUNT FUNDING AND DIRECT PAY
16.2 MATERIAL BREACH
To participate in Games (excluding Play-for-Free Games) on OLG.ca, a Player must maintain a positive balance in their Standard Player Account. Nonetheless, Players can still buy tickets for Draw-Based Lottery Games online using Direct Pay through their Player Account, provided the feature is available. Direct Pay is exclusively available to Players holding a Player Account, and OLG will not offer credit to Players.
- If a Player's Account lacks sufficient funds or if their permitted Direct Pay payment card is not Funded at the point they attempt to place a wager, purchase, or bet, the transaction will not succeed, and the Player's entry into the Game request will be denied. Players bear full responsibility for ensuring their Player Account is adequately funded or that their Direct Pay payment card is Funded as required for participation in a Game (including any Future Game Transactions). OLG does not have an obligation to warn Players if they do not have enough funds or if their Direct Pay payment card is not Funded prior to rejecting the relevant transaction, although OLG may choose to do so.
- Additionally, within certain limitations, any monetary Prizes resulting from Games played on OLG.ca—including those funded through Direct Pay for a Standard Player Account—will be credited to the Player's Account by adding to their virtual balance. Withdrawal of funds representing such Prizes from a Player Account will be governed by the terms of this Agreement. Instructions for claiming any non-monetary Prizes will be periodically provided to Players by OLG.
- 6.2 METHODS FOR DEPOSITING FUNDS AND UTILIZING DIRECT PAY
- Players can only deposit Canadian dollars to fund their Standard Player Account. They can do this by either depositing money directly with OLG or by using Direct Pay for online purchases related to Draw-Based Lottery Games, as long as they utilize an approved Payment Method. However, it's important to note that INTERAC e-Transfer® transactions are not allowed for Direct Pay purchases.
- You can find the current list of approved Payment Methods on the Deposit and Direct Pay pages. It’s important to remember that only these specified methods can be used for transactions.
16.3 DISPUTES
OLG maintains the authority to modify, add, or remove accepted Payment Methods, as well as to alter the related terms and conditions. Players are responsible for checking which Payment Methods are accepted before they begin any transactions with OLG.
It is essential for players to recognize that some credit card companies may categorize the funding of a Player Account as a cash advance, leading to potential fees on such transactions. Any fees associated with cash advances or the use of Payment Methods will fall solely on the Player.
Any credit or debit cards that are used as Payment Methods must be issued in Canada by a recognized Canadian bank or financial institution. Players are allowed to make deposits only using Payment Methods for which they are officially recognized as authorized users according to the standards set by their bank or credit issuer.
17 LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
17.1 OLG\"S LIABILITY
OLG does not collect sensitive information such as online banking credentials or passwords.
- Before using their selected Payment Method for funding their Player Account or making Direct Pay transactions, players should thoroughly understand the associated terms and conditions. This includes being informed about any potential cash advance fees or other charges linked to their Payment Method.
- OLG or its payment processing partners might store information related to Payment Methods or card details on servers located outside Ontario, but still within Canada. Furthermore, they may aggregate and utilize transaction data for analytical insights relevant to their business (this will not include any identifiable information about specific players). By opting to use an accepted Payment Method, players consent to the storage of such transaction data on these external servers and to OLG's use of aggregated information as described.
- The business name associated with any deposit made will be \"Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.\"
17.2 EXCLUSIONS FROM OLG\"S LIABILITY
Whenever a Player employs an accepted Payment Method to deposit funds into their Standard Player Account or to purchase a Draw-Based Lottery Game ticket via Direct Pay, they confirm to OLG that they possess full rights and authority to utilize the credit card, debit card, or funds from the specified bank account, even if these are shared with others or held in another individual’s name.
- OLG, or their payment processing service providers, will manage the Player's funds deposited for the Standard Player Account in a bank or escrow account as trustees, not as lenders. OLG will treat the Player's funds as a trust arrangement, which means that OLG has no obligation to return any funds as a traditional debtor would. To clarify, a Player Account should not be regarded as a traditional bank account, so it will not be covered or insured by any banking insurance schemes. Funds in the Player Account or any monetary prizes credited thereto will not yield interest for the Player, and the Player cannot claim interest from OLG on these funds.
- If the Player owes any amount to OLG as per the terms of this Agreement, OLG retains the right to deduct this amount from the Player's Unutilized Funds and to adjust the balance in the Standard Player Account accordingly, without needing to provide the Player with prior notice.
- 6.3 DEPOSIT AND DIRECT PAY LIMITATIONS AND LIMITATIONS
- Alongside any limits set by the Player themselves, OLG also reserves the right to impose restrictions on a Player's capability to fund their Standard Player Account or utilize Direct Pay. This could involve various measures, including but not limited to:
- defining minimum and maximum deposit amounts for contributions made to the Standard Player Account, whether for individual transactions or during specific time frames. As it stands, the minimum deposit for a single transaction cannot fall below $15.00 nor exceed $999,999.00.
restricting the number of different credit cards that can be employed by a Player to fund their account or make purchases via Direct Pay. Furthermore, a specific credit card cannot be linked to more than one Player Account.
- limiting a Player's capability to alter deposit methods during certain timeframes;
- imposing restrictions on how a Player can modify credit card information or requiring conditions to be met prior to making such changes (like contacting Player Support);
- altering the list of acceptable payment methods; or
- capping the number of deposits permissible for funding the Player Account. Currently, a Player cannot make more than ten (10) deposits.
Provided that the deposit limits established by OLG under Section 6.3 are adhered to, a Player has the option to set, modify, or remove their deposit limits applicable to their Standard Player Account, following the guidelines outlined in the Responsible Gambling and My PlayBreak Policy.
A \" Chargeback \" comes into play when a cardholder reaches out to their bank or card issuer to dispute a transaction made with their credit or debit card, requesting a refund and asking OLG to return the stated funds.
If a Player deposits funds into their Standard Player Account or makes a Direct Pay purchase, and subsequently a Chargeback occurs either partially or fully concerning that transaction, OLG (or any associated third-party providers) may take one or various acties based on their judgment, including:

Pausing the Player Account while any Chargeback-related disputes are resolved as per Section 12.1;

Terminating the Player Account and preventing the Player from accessing games on OLG.ca, effectively classifying them as an Excluded Individual;

Unless exceptions apply, withdrawals of Unutilized Funds from a Standard Player Account will typically be executed through an electronic bank transfer (only in Canadian dollars) to a bank account that the Player has registered, which has been verified and approved by OLG to ensure it belongs to the Player at a Canadian bank or financial institution recognized by OLG. Players cannot use a bank account for this purpose that is not in their name, whether alone or shared with others.
- Players must acknowledge and agree that:
- OLG will require documentation to be submitted by the Player (either electronically through OLG.ca or as OLG instructs) that OLG deems necessary to verify the Player's authority over the designated bank account. This could include a void cheque or a bank statement, reflecting the Player's name, address, and account number, all of which should align with the information stored in the Player's OLG account.
- " month \" means a calendar month;
- By submitting this documentation, Players assert that it is a genuine, accurate, and complete copy.
- If a Player registers a bank account that is jointly owned with one or more other individuals, any withdrawals from their Standard Player Account will be deposited into that joint account, making those funds accessible to the other holders of that account.
- A Player cannot choose a different payment method or currency when withdrawing funds. For instance, even if a Player funded their Standard Player Account with a credit card, they are not allowed to withdraw any Unutilized Funds to that credit card. OLG may, at its discretion, return Unutilized Funds to the Player through other suitable means from time to time.
- 7.2 WITHDRAWAL RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS
In accordance with the terms laid out in this Agreement, Players are permitted to withdraw Unutilized Funds from their Standard Player Account, but only up to the current balance of these funds.
Players cannot withdraw Unutilized Funds from a Standard Player Account via OLG.ca if their account is Suspended, unless OLG decides, at its discretion, to allow some or all of the withdrawal. In the event of a Suspension of the Standard Player Account, Players who wish to withdraw Unutilized Funds must reach out to Player Support.
EFFECTIVE DATE: January 15th, 2025
Players have the option to cancel their withdrawal requests through their Standard Player Account. Should the cancellation occur before OLG processes the request, the funds involved will revert to the Player's Unutilized Funds within their Standard Player Account.
